Public Speaking Tips from the Pros

HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE:
Be featured in the book as a public speaking pro.

Contribute one chapter to the book (minimum 750 words). Your bio and links to your website will appear in the book.

CHOOSE FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CHAPTERS:

Choose from any one of the following chapters and write at least 750 words on the topic.

1. How to Open and Close Your Speech?
2. How to Structure Your Speech
3. How to tell dynamic, engaging stories
4. How to add power words to make your stories come alive?
5. How to Add Humor to Your Speech
6. How to use statistics in your presentation
7. How to Design Sexy Presentation Slides
8. How to Practice Your Speech?
9. Delivery Techniques for Dynamic Delivery
10. How to Handle the Q&A
11. How to Overcome Your Fear of Public Speaking?
12. What to Do when things go wrong

Chapters should be written similar to short digestable blog-posts.

They should contain practical tips readers can apply to their presentations immediately.

Use plenty of subtitles, the way you would in a blog post so that readers can scan the content quickly. Give examples from your presentation, and feel free to use examples from other speakers (e.g. you?re legally allowed to quote short portions from a TED speech)

To make it easier, think of this as a blog-post on the topic you choose to write?

2) Free publicity ? I will be promoting the book to my list of 3,200+ email subscribers and 2900 Facebook fans. A short bio of you along with your website will be included at the end of the chapter you write

3) Make money. You?ll receive the PDF version of the book which you can sell on your website. Any money you make from selling the PDF version is yours. You?re also free to print out the book and sell it in your seminars, distribute it to colleagues.

REQUIREMENTS:

Choose one (or more chapters) that you want to write on. Each chapter must be at least 750 words. If you have an idea for a new chapter (which I haven?t included above), feel free to send me your suggestions on akash.speaker@gmail.com

Content MUST be original. You can?t simply submit an old blog post, although I might consider it if you have a high-quality blog post and you re-word it so that it is sufficiently original.

Oh, and just so you know, I?ll coauthor a chapter too!
