Chris Matthews? age is showing, and his, um, misogyny. The MSNBC host spoke to Andrea Mitchell, whom he called ?one of the great feminists of our time?, about a recent appearance by Joe Biden at an event honoring women?s advocates after viewing a clip of Biden condemning violence against women.

Matthews wonders aloud about whether or not women are really worried about being beaten. Mitchell said ?Joe Biden has street cred with these women.? Matthews replied ?Is that close to the bone, the idea of wife beating, or beaters?? Mitchell then replied ?Well, that was part of it.?
Matthews then responded with ?Yeah, but is that something that women really worry about, men being brutal?? Mitchell replied that, yes, women do worry about men being brutal and Matthews then tried to say ?At home? In the home?? The Huffington Post questioned it saying ?The conversation then moved on, with nobody mentioning that Matthews had been seemingly confused about whether or not women are concerned with domestic violence.?
Domestic violence is a problem that hurts many women, both in and outside of same-sex relationships, and men as well. Often times, domestic violence against men is played down in part because of the fear of men being seen as weak, and there are many examples of men being made fun of for being beaten by women.
Domestic violence ruins many lives, unfortunately.
On the best note, as Huffington Post notes, Matthews may just be getting hard of brain lately.
